Update 6 - Driving & Visual improvements


Hey! This is a slightly smaller update focusing on making things more neat

New stuff:

  • New dynamic camera that moves a bit more and adds a bit more juice to the playing experiance
  • Updated environment on the first level
  • Implemented new UI engine to manage the menus flow and visuals
  • Updated project to Unity 2020
  • Tweaked driving to make it more responsive and agile

Fixes:

  • Mission objectives completed text no longer overlays on top of the objectives text
  • Clamp camera rotation so that you can't flip the camera around
  • Fixed Random Rocket Target component name
  • Fixed screen distortion shader being opaque
  • Made all static scene materials batched, improving performance slightly
  • Fixed the scene loading twice after pressing the play button

 

Next up I'm at least gonna do some more improvements on the vehicle driving. I keep receiving feedback on the vehicle feeling floaty and uncontrollable and I agree, something should be done
