Changelog 22.10 - Spiderboss


Hey!

It's been one more month. I've been working on a neat boss and it's finally in the game! It's a mechanical spider boss and it's really cool! It stomps, it fires missiles and it's angry! You can fight the boss by completing all the objectives in the scene. Killing the boss allows you to progress to the next level.

I'm planning on adding a few more bosses in the distant future and also tweaking this current one since it needs some more skills and maybe should be a bit more difficult(?)

Other changes I did lately have been internal refactoring, but one notable thing is a volume slider that was requested too long ago. Sorry about the delay :D It's now here!


Here's the rest:

  • Fixed FOV being tied to the shift key
  • Created an IoC container for easier dependency handling in game
  • Prepped the project for writing unit tests
  • Added settings menu with audio sliders
  • Added new boss for the player to fight
  • Added spiderboss ragdoll for when it's destroyed
  • Added telegraphed missile launcher weapon for the boss
  • Refactored targeting systems so that enemies can now also have targeting systems
